Donate To Our 2024 Capital Campaign Do More Good!
Imagine: as you get out of your warm bed, make coffee, and enjoy the comforts of your home this morning, 623 veterans remain homeless in the state of Ohio.
Those who had the courage and the dedication to serve our country and were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. Those left vulnerable upon returning from deployment by their resulting PTSD, mental health and substance abuse problems, lack of family support, and lack of income, only to find themselves homeless.
Newbridge Veterans Place was created in 2016 with the mission of providing 24-hour supportive care to eight low-income veterans living with mental illness in an attempt to break the cycle of homelessness, transitional living, hospitalization and incarceration.
We believe that every human being experiencing chronic mental illness and homelessness should have the opportunity to gain access to affordable housing and support services that facilitate recovery.
I am asking you today to support our mission of making a significant difference in the lives of those eight veterans. The cost of their care is a lot more than what they can afford.
At around $240,000 per year, Newbridge must raise the difference between what they can pay and what it costs to care for them, close to $100,000 a year. We don’t receive any state or federal funds, thus we rely on grants, donations and our yearly Capital Campaign to raise these necessary finances.
The goal of this year’s capital campaign is $45,000, and we would like to reach that sum by Veterans Day. Can I count on you to donate to this important cause?
One hundred percent of your donation goes directly to the residential care of low income, disabled veterans struggling to cope with debilitating mental illness.
As a society, we have the responsibility to care for those who have defended our freedoms and way of life.
Providing support can help break the cycle of poverty and mental health issues, enabling veterans to lead productive lives and contribute positively to society.
Donating to this cause provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment, knowing that your contributions are making tangible difference in the lives of those who served our nation.
